We are a husband - wife household and rely on toaster oven for: daily toast, weekly frozen pizza cooking, reheating of grilled items, crisping up french baguettes, pastries, etc.
This appliance does an awesome job. Controls are intuitive, temperature control is quite accurate (checked with oven thermometer beyond 400 degrees) and convection feature adds to amazing uniformity. It gets to temperature very quickly as well. The criticism others have stated about the front handle-to-glass spacing, leading to burns may be relevant to their use, but is a NON ISSUE if you simply use your fingers to open (which is very easy) versus wrapping your entire hand around the handle. Build quality and the overall user experience is definitely superior.
We've had our Cuisinart for only a couple of months so far, so a bit more to learn about its durability.
To contrast, we replaced a basic Black ; Decker toaster oven (roughly $30 dollars retail) which worked OK (esp. for toast) if you watched it carefully and it served us well for 3+ years. Previously we had a Krups F286/FBB2 (retail $200) which worked nicely, but was a complete disappointment when its control membranes cracked just slightly beyond the warranty period and no practical customer support was available. So for just above $100, the Cuisinart looks like a home-run for features, quality and value.
Finally, a tip: go to Home Depot or a floor tile store and pickup a 12 x 12 inch unglazed terracotta paver for about $1. Works great as a pizza stone to create crispy crusts and is far less than the $10-20 retail 'pizza stones'.

We recently replaced our 1993 Black ; Decker toaster oven (which was great, by the way) with the Cuisinart convection/toaster oven so that we could toast bread as well as take advantage of the convection oven features. The oven is a little noisier than I'm used to, but that's due to the convection fan. It's really not that bad. Toasting takes a little longer than with the other toaster oven, but seems to toast as evenly as a regular toaster oven.
So far, I've used it to make toast, a cake (from scratch), ladyfinger cookies, a casserole and two roasted 4.5 pound chickens in the oven. I used a square brownie pan for the cake and casserole.
The oven can fit about 8 cookies per sheet, depending on the size of the cookies, so you end up with more batches, but it takes less time to bake them in convection mode. The chickens took around 1 hour 15 minutes each. The Cuisinart herbed chicken recipe worked well, and the chicken did not blacken on top. My hoisin chicken recipe worked well, too, but I had to cover the top with tin foil to prevent burning.
The only issues I have with the design are the timer and the baking rack/tray integration. The rack and baking sheet/tray are so well integrated that it is hard to remove the tray with oven mitts without taking the rack out as well. This is not a big deal, but is not convenient when you have batches of cookies to make and need the rack in place for quick turnaround time. The timer does not stop the oven, which is OK, but as soon as you switch off baking, you cannot use the timer as a kitchen timer. Since the clock runs while the oven is plugged in, you'd think they would allow you to set the timer as well. A timer would be handy if you have something that you want to keep or place in the oven for a while (such as rising dough).
